Majority or Minority? Which Mindset Do You Have?

I can recall in my high school days many successful students which were referred to as not being 'black enough' because they held a 3.0 G.P.A or higher, remained on the honor roll, spoke with excellent articulation and or had white friends.  Why is it that a woman or man of color cannot hold themselves under their education and embrace their intellect in order to be considered a true part of the 'black community'?  And if one is a in a gang, drug dealer or prostitute they are considered to be undedicated, unlettered and ordinary?

When we look at the definition of 'black' as a color it represents authority and power. But of course if we looked in the dictionary it will state that black is stemming from evil characters or forces; wicked or dishonorable; ' black deeds'; ' a black lit', ' a dark purpose', dark undercurrents of ethic hostility, ' the scheme of some sinister intelligence bent'.

Here is a rhetorical question... Where are BLACK people from? We are one of the few "races" that do not have a home. Some will say that we are from Africa, but we do not have any knowledge regarding Africa's tribes nor can we trace our heritage to which country. Most Africans perception ofBLACK AMERICA is that we are laze and complain a lot.

Most races can point on a map and state 'as a matter of fact' which country their heritage had its beginning.  They have a spot on the glove that they can say proudly that people like the, RUN things there. BLACK AMERICA does not have such a place. This is where the MINORITY MINDSET was given birth. We never see 'us' in power or wealth. Other minorities which come from or just dwell in this country prosper, why is this? They come into our country with a POSITIVE MINDSET which is one that says they are MAJORITY. This mindset allows them to BELIEVE that they can and will accomplish great things and they in turn possess strong determination and dedication to do just that. To accomplish anything great one must have this mindset and never allow your circumstances to control you or your focus on your goals.

Back to the initial 2 questions:
Why is it that a woman or man of color cannot hold themselves under their education and embrace their intellect in order to be considered a true part of the 'black community'?  And if one is a in a gang, drug dealer or prostitute they are considered to be undedicated, unlettered and ordinary? When blacks do reach a certain level of success and wealth they are considered not black. They are said to be Uncle Tom Acting white. So instead of embracing our intellectual powers some have chosen to feed into that stereotype. Forgo succeeding in an education whether its making it through high school or obtaining a college degree or special trade. All in fear of appearing as though they are white and have abandoned their race. No longer being white. Intentionally failing out and choosing the life of the streets to brand them as a person.
